||The loss of any Husband, Father and Grandfather is devastating for a family but the loss of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh is felt even more so due to his devoted strength, foundation and loyalty for our Queen over the many decades he supported tirelessly, both as consort and husband. That, in itself, is truly remarkable. He impacted the lives of so very many and his passing leaves a gaping loss and a mark on the history of the Monarchy. He led a truly honourable life and will be missed immensely by all, not least due to his significantly unique character and positive attitude to life. A life lived so very well. May he rest in peace.

||(D.L. in the County) I remember him well since 1953 when he visited Epsom College where I was rehearsing for the school play. When asked who I was, I replied "Sir Toby" and he responded "Belch". I was impressed that he had learnt his lines - he got the best lines anyway! My cousin taught him to fly in the RAF; he was threatened with the Tower if they crashed!

||Thank you for the service you gave to the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the world. You were a wonderful supporter of the Queen and were always by her side in good and bad times. ||My deepest condolences to The Queen and her family for the loss of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He was such a wonderful Consort for over 70 years. The Country and Commonwealth has lost a great Prince, he will be missed by many but his legacy will continue to live on.
||My thoughts go out to our amazing Queen and The Royal Family.
Prince Philip will certainly be missed by the whole country. I first saw The Queen and Prince Philip in Bedford in 1975 or 1976 when I was allowed time off school to row in our newly learned sport of rowing in an ‘8’ boat. They came to the river behind County Hall & we were stopped briefly by our Cox in front of the Royal visitors. My mum came to watch and was so proud.
The second time I met Prince Philip was in November 2013 when I proudly accompanied my daughter to St James’s Palace to receive her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. He was interested and talked to individuals and the group. He then came to the other side of the room and talked to us accompanying Adults in a friendly and jovial manner. Before leaving the room he wished us all a merry Christmas.
||Rest in peace Sir Philip. The nation's thoughts are with her Majesty the Queen and the royal family at this sad time.
||You have been an excellent example of 'Support & Love' to your Wife, Family & Country.
Your job is done now and you have left an amazing legacy. Rest in Peace.

||Sincere condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and all the royal family on the loss of someone so loved
||I am truly sad to hear about HRH, Prince Philip passing away. My thoughts and best wishes go out to the Queen and her family at this sad time. The nearest I have come to meeting him was at the opening of Stadium:MK where the charity I was working for was supposed to meet them but there was an administration error and that didn't happen. As myself and my colleagues sneaked out a bit earlier...so did the Queen and Prince Philip so they waved to myself and my two colleagues as they left.
||A great figure head who will be missed by many, including his family, rest in peace. God bless.
||"You will be known forever, by the tracks you leave behind."

||It is with deep sorrow that the Hindu fellowship of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Luton received news of the passing of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip was well acquainted with the activities of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha having visited our Neasden Temple in London (23 July 1996) as well as the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple complex in India (15 October 1997). On both occasions, we enjoyed advancing our shared interests in youth development and community service. On 10 November 1997, The Duke welcomed our late spiritual guru, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, at Buckingham Palace where they conversed about peace and solidarity. We offer our heartfelt condolences to HM The Queen and the Royal Family and pray that they find peace during these testing times – and that the nation as a whole is able to come together and carry forward Prince Philip’s spirit of courage, dedication and selfless service.

He will be remembered for the full and interesting life he led and for the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, which inspired generations of young people to focus on achievements and skills through charitable based experiences and adventures, rather than academic skills.

With my deepest sympathy and wishing HRH The Queen and Royal Family moments of peace and comfort during this difficult time in the passing of HRH Duke of Edinburgh.
The DofE award means many things to many people, it supported generations to successfully navigate adult life.
It gave two of my daughters an opportunity to discover new interests and talents.
Please accept our condolences.
